JINJA SOURCE OF THE NILE ( 1 Day White Water Rafting)

Travel Hinterland will arrange exciting white water rafting excursions from 1 day to 2 days experience. You will be picked from various meeting points in Kampala before proceeding to Jinja.  Depart for Jinja for a full day white rafting trip on the Nile River including morning snack, lunch, and beverages plus a BBQ at the end of the day. You will have an exhilarating and memorable experience. Half-day trips are available for those short of time though this trip sounds very adventurous, this river can accommodate any level of rafter.  No experience is needed. You can (choose a raft where you get to paddle or one where you enjoy an easier ride with someone else doing all the work!
Top quality safety gear and highly experienced guides run the biggest rapids possible. Total rafting is for 25 km of river including some of the best rapids in the world. The river is graded 4+ to 5 and provides one of the best day rafting trips in the world ! Huge standing waves leap from the clear blue skies and rock walls vibrate from the power of the thundering rapids. Bring a swimsuit, shorts and a pair of sandals or trainers (tennis shoes) to wear on the river.  You will get wet, so bring a change of clothes.  Facilities are available for cameras to be protected from the while on the river.  Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses and a smile.  A days rafting will cost you USD 130 per person

Participants leave Kampala at 7.00 Am. from Sheraton Hotel, Red Chili camp, Nados Restaurant and return to the same places at 1900hrs on the same day.
Lunch is served at  an  Island  Camp a site at the off points whether rafting or not the following facilities are available,
boat riding, bird watching, swimming for young kids, watered lawns to pitch the tents, plenty of shade, table and benches, toilets, and showers, fire grills, etc.
The excursion takes whole day but those willing to take more days can do so, and book in time at extra cost.
Minimum group is four (4) and can leave any day
GENERAL RAFTING INFORMATION & EQUIPMENTS:
All boats are in good state with a crew capacity of six people.
Life jackets and helmets are supplied.
Load boat carries a comprehensive first aid and medicated kit
Guides carry knives, throw bag, binas and pulley
Boats are paddled by participants themselves hence your participation is preferred.
A guide in each boat just gives commands and steers the boat.
Participants have the opportunity to bring cameras or videos in the waterproof boxes or rent the waterproof cameras from us.
MAXIMUM AGE EXPERIENCE AND FITNESS.
Usually from 14 years with parental consent.
No upper limits and depends on the individual fitness and health.
No previous experience is required except. bad rapids

ACCOMMODATION

At the start sing point , there are many accommodation facilities ranging fro budget- to 3star and 4 stay lodging facilities.

GUEST REQUIREMENTS.
Shorts
Shirts long sleeved- pants for those with sensitive skins.
A wider brimmed hat.
A pair of fasten-able shoes  .
Personal toiletries and
cameras, Gloves and socks (sunburn) Alight weight nylon rain jackets worn under your life jacket for cold weather or if it does rain while you are in the river.
Spare warm clothes to change at the end of the trip because what you wear while on the boat will get wet.
