8 DAYS PRIMATES AND GAME WATCHING+Jinja White Water Rafting
Day 1:
Airport Transfer/Kampala- Fort Portal /Kibale
You will be met by your driver /guide at Entebbe International Airport on your flight on arrival who will drive you out of the airport. OR in the morning will be picked from your hotel in Kampala and will proceed the driving to Fort Portal with lunch stop on the way via Mubende. After lunch drive through the lush green countryside on Mityana-Mubende road to Fortportal stopping at some coffee holdings tea plantations and open swamp valleys. Check in at Ndali Lodge a well refurbished lodge in the countryside establishment. Or at Fort Motel another upmarket faciity or at Toro Resort a budgt facility, or at Primate lodge another comfortable newly refurbished lodge . Dinner and overnight.
Day2:
After breakfast, will be driven to Kibale Forest national park and KAFRED an Eco tourism site Bigodi swamp to take natural walk exploring bird watching and other primate viewing. Enjoy unique view With local guides track chimps in their natural Forest in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains (the famed mist shrouded “Mountains of the Moon”) Kibale Forest is rich in animal life, including an astonishing 12 species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded, theof crater lakes and other volcanic features. Afternoon after picnic lunch drive to Kibale Forest National Park famous for chimpanzee tracking. very localized red colobus and L'Hoest's monkeys. Tracking the chimpanzees our 'cousins' is a very interesting experience. The way they feed, climb trees, respond to humans, caring for their young ones leaves an imaginative dream to tell. Dinner and overnight will bet at your chosen establishement.
Day3:
Kibale -Fort Portal town – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast/lunch depart at your leisure for Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. . It borders on Lake George and Lake Edward as well as Kazinga Channel in the western area of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The park has attractive acacia-dotted Savannah which is a home for Buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lion hyena etc which graze these peaceful acres .At the lake, there are Hippos and a wonderful diversity of birds. Because of the different habitats of the lakeshores and the broad Savannah, the variety seems endless. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky. Take and afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel. If time allows do evening game drive visiting the crater area and enjoy volcanic features and game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge/ Mweya safari lodge. or Simba lodge.
Day 4:
Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins with an early game drive. There are variety of animals like; lions, buffaloes, elephants, kobs, bushbucks and the rare leopards. Over 500 bird species have been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird-watchers. They include the endemics ,different species of kingfisher and several falcons, eagles and other raptors. After visit Maragambo forest for forest walk and proceed to Bwindi. Arrive in the evening at Bwindi and proceed to check in at lake Kitandara tented camp. Dinner and overnight.
Day5:
Gorilla tracking
After breakfast with packed lunch you will be led to the starting point where the local guides will lead you to the very family you will track gorillas. Track gorillas while seeing a variety of fauna. The time taken and the terrain vary according to the movement of these forest giants. The happinness of meeting them face-to-face takes away the pain of some times long and tough trek. Enjoy a close view of these primates as they undergo their daily activities. You will particularly enjoy the young ones as swing from branch to branch while the sliverback ensures the safety of the entire family. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
Bwindi – Lake Mburo.
After Breakfast drive to lake mburo national park with lunch stop on the way. Will be driven through the Kigezi highlands and passing through the farm lands of Ankole and the main feature is the long horned cows. Stopover on your way could be in Ankole grassland where long horned cattle are common sight. Proceed to lake Mburo National Park. If time allows do evening game drive. Check in at Mantana Luxury Tented Campor Mihingo Luxury Lodge or Acadia cottages facility . Dinner and overnight. Will do evening game drive.
Morning will take game drive looking for variety of game that include Zebra, buffaloes, antelopes, hyena, and many more. Continue to a boat ride on the lake for bird watching and more game viewing. Proceed to your camp for early lunch and proceed to Jinja. Stop at equator for memory photographing and picking a souvenir. Proceed to Kampala. Will be dropped at your hotel.
Morning time allowing will visit the source of river Nile and after proceed to the starting point of white water rafting. After bsimple briefing then will experience worlds no1 rapids on waters of River Nile . Raft the whole day . After will be ransferred tto Kampala. or aiport an be left on your own.
